What is EIFS stucco?
EIFS stands for "Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems" and has been in use since the 1960's. Many people may not be familiar with the term, but the chances are pretty good that you've seen EIFS in use on homes and offices for many years. It's a non-load bearing, exterior wall 'cladding' process consisting of structural insulation board attached either by strong adhesive or mechanically, or sometimes both, to the substrate, an integrally reinforced base coat, and a textured protective finish coating. This type of surfacing for buildings was developed to help architects and builders to effectively and affordable realize their design visions without compromising strength, quality, and effectiveness of their structures and building materials. One known issue with EIFS structures is water leakage and water damage, but these may be known issues with older buildings, which we in the industry are working diligently to correct and make a thing of the past. We want to rid the world of water damage due to stucco and EIFS materials that were sub-par to begin with. We will make this dream a reality with the passing of time, as we are dedicated to making your home or office a place you can be proud of with the peace of mind that comes with property ownership! Our EIFS Las Vegas contractors are ready to help with your next residential or commercial siding project. Give us a call for Stucco In Las Vegas NV 702-848-6645 *** EIFS in our modern world is considered one of the most tested and well researched materials in the construction sector, but don't just take our word for it... Research conducted by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (Yep, that laboratory!) has validated that EIFS is thought to be the, "best performing cladding" in relation to thermal and moisture control when compared to other building and siding materials such as brick, stucco, and cementitious fiberboard siding," which is to further say... This stuff is the good stuff! |
